Our Pandani Montessori Vision
Our vision is to create a nurturing and inspiring early childhood environment that celebrates the growth and development of the whole child. We aspire to provide a Montessori based program that ignites curiosity, kindness, and a love of learning, while promoting connections to the land, culture and community.
Our aspirations include:
- To inspire compassionate learners who respect and appreciate the world around them.
- To provide a child-centred approach based on Montessori principles that promote self-directed learning, hands on activities and collaborative play.
- To foster a deep connection to the land Lutruwita (Tasmania) and its rich cultural heritage, promoting appreciation for the local community and environment.
- To acknowledge the impact we make on the world around us by minimising our environmental footprint and practicing rituals that build respect for our land and the needs of our community.
- Working in partnership with local families and the broader community to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Our learning environment
The learning environment is a visual representation of our passion for early learning and the deep respect we have for our children. It encompasses a place of connection and empowerment.
- Nature based learning: Designed to promote exploration and discovery, with a strong emphasis on connecting with the Tasmanian bushland.
- Giving children time and space: To explore, learn and grow at their own pace stimulating independence and self-motivation and a love of learning.
- Culturally responsive practices: Grounding the education and pedagogy in an understanding of the local culture and community, promoting respect, empathy and inclusivity.
