Welcome to Pandani Montessori
Early Learning Centre

At Pandani Montessori we are passionate about holistic education where we nurture curious minds, foster creative spirits and inspire a love of learning and self-discovery. Our principles respect and acknowledge the love of education and the practices of Maria Montessori; an Italian physician and educator who believed in the potential of every child to become a confident, curious and compassionate individual.

At the core of our values is the philosophy of Montessori underpinned by unique characteristics specific to Pandani Montessori ELC. We recognise each child’s individual potential and relish in their independence by encouraging ownership of their learning and being an active member in their choices.  At Pandani Montessori we foster and encourage a love of discovery; empowering children to become vital participants in their educational journey.

Acknowledgment of Country

We respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our early learning centre is located and the Aboriginal people of Lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging, and recognise their continuing connection to the land, sea, and community.

Celebrating Aboriginal Culture

We value and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Aboriginal people, including the Palawa Kani language. We strive to create a learning environment that is inclusive and respectful of Aboriginal culture, and that our practices are culturally sensitive and responsive.

Reconciliation and Respect

We are committed to reconciliation and respect for Aboriginal culture, and we will work to create a learning environment that is welcoming and inclusive for all Aboriginal children and families. We recognise the importance of promoting cultural understanding and awareness.
